Details: The $200m Toowoomba Region Sports Precinct (TRSP) will be located on a site in Charlton. The facility will meet the growing demand for sport and recreation facilities in the region. The project will provide a mix of high-quality fields and amenities for a variety of outdoor sporting activities and a district-level recreation park.

Aura and Harmony Infrastructure Project

Details: The $200m Aura and Harmony Infrastructure Project is being delivered by McConnell Dowell on behalf of Unity Water. The project entails the installation of vital infrastructure to support the expansion of the sunshine coast growing population. It is projected that the Aura development will grow to 50,000 residents by 2050 and the Harmony development to 21,000 by 2036. The project scope of works includes 2 x 10million litre reservoirs, a new 15.1km waterline from the Ewen Maddock Water Treatment Plant and a 12.5km wastewater line to the Kawana Wastewater Treatment Plant.

CWSS1 Draper Water Treatment Facility

Details: Cairns Regional Council has awarded John Holland the $320m design and construct contract for the CWSS1 Draper Water Treatment Facility project. The project includes for the construction of water pipelines, holding lagoons, freshwater tanks, and water treatment facilities.

West Camden Water Treatment Plant (WTP)

Client: Downer BMD Joint Venture

Project Location: Camden, New South Wales

Services: Claims Preparation and Defence

Details: The existing Water Camden Water Treatment Plant is currently at 150% capacity and contains aging infrastructure. The BMD Downer JV has been tasked by Sydney Water with designing and constructing a new $150m state of the art WTP adjacent the existing facility. At the completion of the new work, most of the existing facility will be made redundant.

Genex - Kidston to Mt Fox 275kV Transmission Line

Client: Powerlink

Project Location: West of Townsville, Queensland

Details: Powerlink has been engaged by Genex Power Limited (Genex) to deliver a 275kV electricity transmission line and two associated switching stations to connect Genex's renewable energy generation project at Kidston to the national electricity grid. The $180m Kidston Clean Energy Hub includes establishing a combination pumped storage hydro, solar and wind power generation facility at Kidston, approximately 270km north-west of Townsville. 

MacIntyre Wind Farm Connection - 330kV Transmission Line Connection

Client: Powerlink

Project Location: Warwick, Queensland

Details: MacIntyre wind farm is a proposed 1,026MW onshore wind complex to be built 200km south-west of Brisbane, Queensland.  The wind farm will be commissioned in phases and will be connected to the grid through 64km of 330kV transmission lines.

Coombabah Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Upgrade – Stage 6

Client: Acciona 

Location: Gold Coast, Queensland

Details: The Coombabah STP is the largest within the City of Gold Coast, processing approximately 50 percent of the city’s sewage. This important upgrade caters for the significant population growth expected in the catchment over the next ten years. The project includes the design and construction of a new preliminary treatment and odor control facility, new bioreactors and clarifiers, disinfection system, waste sludge thickening and dewatering facilities, in addition to site utilities, roadworks, drainage and landscaping. Coombabah Sewage Treatment Plant is to become a centralised facility to manage and process biosolids from Coombabah, Pimpama and Merrimac Sewage Treatment Plants.  

NZ Ultra Fast Broadband Network (NZUFBN)  

Client: Visionstream

Details: New Zealand’s Ultra-Fast Broadband program is an eight-year project that covers all parts of New Zealand, of which Visionstream is undertaking network operations and maintenance work for various regions in Auckland and Northland. The project includes design, construction and maintenance of both new and existing copper and fibre optic access networks. 

Ripley Valley Urban Core

Details: Feasibility cost estimate and future cost planning for Sekisui's ongoing development of the Ripley Town Centre. 

Moorebank Logistics Park

Details: Moorebank Logistics Park (MLP) is a new 243 hectare prime logistics and intermodal precinct. The site is being developed to provide 850,000 square metres of warehouse space. Mersa assisted Georgiou with the delivery of site infrastructure works which broadly consisted of major earthworks, roadworks, and services reticulation works across the site.

Herston Quarter

Client: Australian Unity

Location: Brisbane, Queensland

Details: Australian Unity is currently delivering the $1.3 billion dollar mixed use development located on the same site as the Royal Brisbane and Womens’s Hospital (RBWH). The overall development will see the site transformed into a market leading mixed use development. The project consists of health precincts, retail, residential, child care, aged care, new carparking, and the associated infrastructure required to support this major redevelopment. Mersa has provided ongoing cost related services to Australian Unity from the outset of this project.

Brisbane Container Terminal Expansion (BCTE)

Client: Qube Ports

Location: Port of Brisbane, Queensland

Details: Qube Ports engaged with Mersa to provide cost estimating services in order to review the feasibility of a planned expansion of Qube’s existing Port of Brisbane operations. The scope of this commission was centred upon an extension of Qube’s existing container handling and storage capacity. Mersa provided detailed cost estimates for the additional hardstand and associated upgraded and improvements to the supporting infrastructure.
