Shiploader and Berth Replacement Project (SABR)

Details: Disassembly and replacement of one of the existing shiploaders and berths to improve materials handling throughput and cyclonic wave immunity. Installation of new ship loader, berth modules, tie-in and commissioning works. 

Paradise Dam Improvement Project  

Client: Seymour Whyte 

Location: Biggenden, Queensland 

Services: Bid Preparation Assistance 

Details: Paradise Dam will be returned to its original height, as part of significant safety improvement works. The project includes for buttressing with mass concrete across the primary and secondary dam spillways and left abutment wall, new training walls, extending the existing downstream apron, and raising and replacing sections of the secondary spillway. 

Amrun Export Facility  

Client: McConnell Dowell (for Rio Tinto) 

Location: Weipa, Queensland 

Services: Commercial administration 

Details: McConnell Dowell was appointed to construct a 642 metre jetty and a 306 metre wharf. The jetty comprises 26 spans, each 24 metres in length. 

Brisbane International Cruise Ship Terminal  

Client: Hindmarsh Construction Australia 

Location: Brisbane, Queensland 

Services: Design cost management, procurement assistance and change management 

Details: The world-class $177 million Brisbane International Cruise Terminal has been designed to cater for the largest cruise ships in the world and give passengers a world-class experience. 

Taxiway Hotel Code E Upgrade  

Client: Seymour Whyte 

Location: Brisbane, Queensland 

Services: Cost planning and measurement 

Details: Multi-million dollar upgrade of the Hotel taxiway, north east of runway 01/19  

Eden Breakwater Wharf Extension  

Client: McConnell Dowell 

Location: Eden, New South Wales 

Services: Bid preparation assistance 

Details: As part of the Port of Eden transformation project, the $44 million Breakwater Wharf Extension project will allow cruise ships up to 325 metres to berth at the wharf once completed. The project includes dredging up to 230,000 cubic metres of material, extending the wharf by approximately 110 metres and installing berthing dolphins and landside bollards 

Brisbane Airport - New Parallel Runway 

Client: Skyway JV (CPB Contractors and BMD Constructions) 

Location: Brisbane Airport, Queensland 

Services: Detailed measurement, dispute resolution 

Details: The project consisted of a new (alternate) runway constructed at the existing Brisbane Airport site. The new development was completed across a 360-hectare site. 3.3km of new runway and 12km of new taxiways were constructed as well as 21km of air-side roads.
